Key Worker Parents and Vulnerable Students

The government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

It is important to underline that schools, colleges and other educational establishments remain safe places for children. But the fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.
Schools are, therefore, being asked to continue to provide care for a limited number of children - children who are vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the Covid-19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.
Notice for Parent/carers of Key Workers, Vulnerable Children and those with Educational Health Care Plans
In line with government guidelines the school is are currently only open to support children of key skills workers, identified vulnerable students and those with Educational Care Health Plans.
Some parents have not required this provision.  Should your child meet government criteria, and you require a place at school, we ask that parents follow the procedure outlined below so that he school can process your request:

·Inform the school of you request of for re –admission by Wednesday each week, using the form under ‘Key worker parents and vulnerable students’ section in ‘parents’ drop down on the main school website page.

·The school will process your school request and subject to criteria checks, arrangements will be made for the re-admission of your child the following Monday.
·You will be notified of a start date by a member of our school administration team.

We hope you appreciate the timescales reflect the school having to re-adjust its classroom and staffing provision.

Please note: If you have previously made an application, you should not complete this form again. For any amendments required or concerns, please contact aarab@ephs.ealing.sch.uk
