Wider Opportunities and Extracurricular

This whole school enrichment programme has been designed to ensure that every student in the school has access to a wide, rich set of opportunities relating to their personal development. The days have been mapped from years 7 to 13 and will include activities linked to careers, cultural experiences, subject trips, wellbeing days and other workshops with PSHCE objectives such as personal safety.

Elthorne offers a variety of clubs for all year-groups to enjoy. Click Here or on the 'Extracurricular' tab on the left to see the full list.  EWOD stands for 'Elthorne Wider OIpportunities, and is a week which encompasses enriching events for students to participate in.  Various opportunities are available for students to develop their leadership skills in school and within the community.

School council gives students the opportunity to have their say in what happens at Elthorne. To find out more listen to the messages from our committee members.  The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a youth awards programme founded in the United Kingdom in 1956 by the Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Personal Development at Elthorne encompasses a wide variety of resources and events. See below for more info.
