Safeguarding
At Elthorne Park High School keeping children and young people safe from harm is our number one priority. This is outlined in our key behaviour and safeguarding message to our students, asking them to be ‘ready, respectful and safe.’
Everyone working in or for our school shares an objective to help keep children and young people safe by contributing to:
-
Providing a safe environment for young people to learn and develop in our school setting.
-
Identifying young people who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm and taking appropriate action with the aim of making sure they are kept safe both at home and in our school setting.
Staff who work with children, especially those who have regular daily contact, have a duty to help protect children from abuse.
At Elthorne Park High School, we work extremely hard to ensure all our students are safeguarded and that their families are supported.
We safeguard and support our students in a number of ways, and we follow key statutory guidance set out by the government in Keeping Children Safe in Education and Ealing Local Authority child protection guidance.
