About Our Sixth Form

Elthone Park Sixth Form is a highly successful and popular choice for students to continue their education beyond the age of 16.

Our thriving Sixth Form provides a broad curriculum, offering both A Level and vocational qualifications. This ensures every student can select courses which suit their interests and aspirations. We foster a caring, supportive environment in which students not only achieve academic excellence but also cultivate essential personal, social, and leadership skills. Our mission is to empower all our students to become mature, responsible, lifelong learners with the qualifications and abilities needed to fully equip them for higher education or the professional world.

We understand that this is a pivotal time in a young person’s development and our students are extremely well supported in all aspects of their Post 16 experience. Our courses are taught by experienced subject specialists who bring their passion and expertise to lessons. Beyond the classroom, each year group benefits from a dedicated pastoral team. This team, comprising a Head of Year, Assistant Year Leader, and a Pastoral Support Worker, provides comprehensive personal guidance and academic mentoring. Students also benefit from excellent facilities. We have two dedicated study centres and our fantastic library – perfect for private study and revision - and a range of comfortable social spaces such as the sixth form garden and Busy Bean cafe. The majority of our year 11 students choose to continue their studies at Elthorne but our large sixth form also invites applications from committed external students. All students experience a thorough induction programme in June and at the start of the academic year to facilitate a smooth transition into Year 12.
