Joining EPHS in-year

Admissions criteria

Ealing Council makes decisions for admissions to Elthorne Park High School for pupils entering Year 7 to Year 11 in-line with all local community high schools. Parents who want their child to join EPHS should contact Ealing Council to find out about admission arrangements and waiting lists. Ealing Council also publishes admissions criteria for all community high schools, including EPHS, each year.

Joining EPHS from another local school or moving into the area

Some students join Elthorne from other local schools, from schools elsewhere in the UK or from overseas during the school year, all known as 'in-year' admissions.

We admit 240 children into each age group in Year 7 to Year 11 organised into 8 form classes.

In-year admissions for Elthorne Park are managed centrally by Ealing Council and are based on the current oversubscription criteria for community schools.

Steps to joining EPHS in-year:

  1. Contact the school admissions team at Ealing Council

  2. If we have no vacancies, you will be able to join our waiting list. Ealing Council manages our waiting list. The waiting list is ordered by following the oversubscription criteria.

  3. Once you have been notified by Ealing Council of a place at EPHS for your child(ren), we will invite you to complete your online admissions form.

  4. Our admissions team will invite you and your child for a meeting with a member of the pastoral team (who is usually your child's new Year Leader) to answer any questions that you may have and continue your transition to our school.
